Prayer
God, I am scared. Not a little. The kind of scared that makes it hard to think clearly. I do not know exactly what I am most afraid of. Maybe the conversation. Maybe the silence after. Maybe that things will change and I will have to live with the change. I am not asking for the fear to disappear. I know that is probably not how this works. I am asking You to be close enough that I can take one step even while I am afraid. Just one. That is all I need right now.
